📷 Creative Tools
Technology for me isn’t just about code — it’s also about capturing moments, experimenting with media, and exploring communication in every sense of the word.
Whether I’m behind a camera or tuning a transceiver, these tools keep the creative and exploratory side of my brain just as active as the engineering one.
📸 Photography & Videography
-
Nikon D750 (Full-Frame DSLR)
My main camera for both photography and video work. I pair it with multiple FX-series lenses depending on the project — from portrait sessions to wide landscape shots.
The D750’s balance of dynamic range, reliability, and manual control makes it my go-to for any serious shoot. -
DJI Spark Drone
Compact, lightweight, and perfect for capturing aerial footage or unique perspectives on trips and outdoor projects. -
DJI Osmo Mobile 7P Gimbal
I use this for stabilizing handheld footage when shooting short clips or tech demonstrations. It’s small enough to carry everywhere but produces buttery-smooth shots. -
Editing & Workflow
Most of my editing happens in Adobe Lightroom for photos and Final Cut Pro for quick video edits. I also organize and catalog my shoots in Apple Photos and external SSDs for redundancy.
📡 Amateur Radio & Communication Gear
Amateur (ham) radio has always fascinated me — the idea of connecting across continents without relying on modern infrastructure still feels like magic.
I maintain an active interest in radio communication, both as a licensed operator and as part of my IoT experimentation.
- Motorola APX8000 – My primary multiband handheld radio, covering VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz ranges.
- Motorola XPR7550e – Used mainly for DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) operations and local repeater networks.
- Kenwood D710G – My mobile dual-band rig with integrated APRS support; perfect for vehicle-based communication and cross-band setups.
- Icom IC-7300 – My HF base station for worldwide communication — SDR-based, precise, and a joy to operate.
I often integrate these radios with digital interfaces for packet communication, APRS tracking, and remote control experiments tied to my software and IoT projects.
🧠 Why These Tools Matter
These tools are the other half of what keeps me creative — capturing, communicating, and exploring.
They remind me that engineering isn’t only about what happens on-screen; it’s also about building, observing, and connecting with the world in new ways.
