🔒 DevSecOps & Productivity Tools

Tools that keep my work secure, automated, and efficient. Everything from password managers and VPNs to monitoring, logging, and automation tools. Also includes task managers, documentation platforms, and communication apps that keep projects running smoothly.

Security and automation are at the heart of how I build and deliver software.
I treat DevSecOps as more than a practice — it’s the mindset of building things that are safe, traceable, and continuously improving without slowing the team down.
Here are the tools that make that possible.

🧩 Security & Compliance

  • Securial – My own open-source Rails engine that provides authentication, multi-tenancy, and role-based access control. Built to simplify secure application architecture.
  • Brakeman – For static analysis and vulnerability scanning in Rails applications.
  • Dependabot – Keeps dependencies up to date and alerts me about known vulnerabilities early in the pipeline.
  • ProtonVPN – My daily VPN service for secure remote access to client environments, version control systems, and cloud consoles.
  • Git Commit Signing (GPG) – Every commit in production-grade projects is signed to ensure integrity and traceability.

⚙️ Monitoring & Automation

  • GitHub Actions – My automation backbone for CI/CD pipelines: building, testing, and deploying code seamlessly across environments.
  • Docker & Kamal – For container-based deployments and repeatable environments across projects.
  • UptimeRobot & BetterStack – For uptime monitoring, alerting, and incident response tracking.
  • Papertrail & Logtail – Used for centralized logging, live tailing, and historical analysis across Rails and API services.
  • Cron & Background Jobs (Solid Queue) – Automate recurring tasks, reporting, and cleanup jobs inside Rails apps.

📋 Productivity & Workflow

  • Linear – My go-to project and task management tool. Simple, fast, and connected to GitHub for issue tracking.
  • Apple Notes – For quick thoughts, meeting notes, and small personal checklists synced across all devices.
  • Notion – Used for broader planning, knowledge bases, and architecture documentation.
  • Slack & Microsoft Teams – For communication and quick coordination across distributed teams.

🧠 Efficiency & Utilities

  • Raycast – My productivity launcher for macOS, with shortcuts for opening projects, running scripts, and managing notes.
  • Alfred Workflows – Automations and shortcuts to speed up repetitive local tasks.
  • Hazel & Automator – For background file organization, syncing, and small automation jobs.
  • Magnet & Rectangle – For managing window layouts across my ultrawide and vertical monitors efficiently.

The goal of this stack isn’t just to build faster — it’s to build safer, with less friction.
Every tool here either protects something, automates something, or saves time, allowing me to focus more on the craft and less on the overhead.
